At Academus, our mantra is ‘inspiring through accessibility.’ Through all of our events and courses, we want to bring amazing opportunities to a wide variety of people. Even with all of our incredible volunteers, sometimes we do need an extra helping hand. This is why Academus is excited to announce our newest partnership with the Classical Association, an organisation that has been running for over 100 years, aiming to keep the spirit of classical education alive in a rapidly changing world.
The team is equally as delighted, Emily Shead, Managing Director at Academus states that: “Academus is over the moon we have received this money because it means we will truly be able to achieve everything that we have wanted to do. One of our biggest limitations so far has been that we haven’t been able to extend our reach as far as we’d like but now we should be able to offer our services to all those who apply with us.”
Our Business Director, Filippa Lockwood, also went on to add that “we are really excited to receive support from The Classical Association. We’re about to enter our second year, and we have big plans for expanding our educational programme throughout 2021. This grant will really help in making this possible.”
With such a great amount of funding, Academus is able to invest more than ever before into our Digital Think Tanks, our Easter Crash Course, and even expand the number of places on our summer school this year. At Academus, we are massively grateful to the Classical Association and are looking forward to working with them more in the future.
